Flowmaster Outlaw Axleback [VIDEO]

Got my Flowmasters Outlaw Axleback installed today at LG Motorsports in Wylie. (thanks LG- great job!)

Anyway- I didn't have much time to take video today, but here is what I've got so far. I know there has been some interest in this system, but since it is pretty new there are few videos and not many people to give it the thumbs up prior to buying. Here is your thumbs up -> and here is my first video... more to come as I get time to do so. (And after I teach my wife how to hold the camera still )

Thanks- give me a few, I took a video of what I think is what you people call drone. The exhaust tone inside the car doesn't bother me one bit. It's music to my ears, honestly...

With the windows down the drone is not really there. But with the windows up it can be painful to the ears at times when you are below 1700 or so RPM and going up a hill.

Nothing I've heard has been near painful to the ears. The exhaust note is a bit louder cruising around certain RPMs but to me it hasn't been bothersome at all. I love the sound of exhaust, so perhaps that's why?
The exhaust is still quiet enough to talk on the phone, listen to music, etc. And my wife and son love it.

edit: that squeaking noise is my son in the back seat... he was REALLY bored and been out with us doing errands almost all day. ;-)

I'm loving it. Just have it installed by a good shop. The directions flowmaster provides were off a bit on the measurements. And there were a few adjustments to get it centered and flush.

getting FMs are greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaattttttttttttt (in my Tony the tiger's voice) I was waiting on the Catback system, but I Might pull the trigger on the axle back kit. Question, can I just buy the one W/o GFX kit, since i already have MBRP tips? I think so, just want to make sure.Your Sounds good man! Flowamster is the best affording, and sounding exhaust out there...strong, deep, and cheap--Flowmaster. (in know i sound like Flowmaster pays me to advertise sorry!, but I just love them so much!)

To be more specific- they say cut 9.5" from a certain point. The shop cut 8" from that point and the tips sit pretty much how the stock tips do. As for adjustments, the hangers needed slight bending to lower the tip slightly.

Not sure about the GFX question. If you're on a budget and want your Camaro to sound "how it should sound"- the axle back does that just fine. I got mine from KMJPerformance on eBay for like 450. There are cheaper systems out there probably but the outlaw sounded great online so I had to have it. No regrets. Can't wait to drive it again. lol.

Wow, a whole 1.5" off - that's about what I thought since I cut about 9" and thought they were too recessed.

Could be on how they measure vs how flowmaster measures. I don't know, but in any case I'm going to probably write flowmaster and let them know to change their instructions- at least to say people should cut short, test fit and recut if necessary.

So Matt, from what I can tell this doesn't seem too bad inside and out. I love growly exhausts vs poppy exhausts. These cars need to roar, not gurgle.

I've been looking at the outlaw or the atak...obviously both of these are a little louder, but you don't think it's too bad? I know video in cabin is hard to really tell accurately. How would you compare to stock? Have you been in any others with an aftermarket to compare to?

If you're ever near MN let me know and I'd love a ride to hear it in person

Luckily I won't be doing my purchase until spring so I have plenty of time to think about it and research. Mine IS a daily driver so I want to be careful.....maybe.

The exhaust is much louder. But it's not bad- I love loud exhaust.
It does pop, like the stock exhaust did. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me.
Still haven't heard this exhaust outside the car in motion. Hoping to have my wife record it soon.

I wanted the Atak originally, but to me the cost was a deal breaker. Plus the outlaw sounds so good...
