No One ? WOw so i got a single door trim and striped the paint off, then used 400 grit then 600 and 800 then last i stopped with 1200 grip, all wet sand paper, then i repainted the inside, so it drying and will be ready to see if its good late today., If it is then you can make any color you want.

Yes it can be done. But it's a trick getting the paint to stick.

He's talking about the other side of the door panel, the side that faces the inside of the door. So if you painted the "outside" of the panel, then the "inside" is the other side of the panel.

Well only time will tell, as of right now its grate, and if its going to work like i want, it will be my test unit for two things, one is the RGB ABL and then for the rear ABL.

Cool. Yea painting it from the "inside" gives it depth. I remember your rear ABL idea. You've got a spare panel lying around for that if I remember right. But I'll keep my mouth shut, don't want to ruin the surprise.

The door panels are infact painted from the inside. Ive done it on the outside with a carbon fiber hydro dip on the outside and the only trick is finding exactly where the ABL comes through and taping that part off. As long as you sand it really really well, and use K2 primer, you wont have any issues. Its all in the prep work you do. Its best to have it done professionally.

The inside of panels have a slight green to change the ice blue to green. If I get your RGB ABL would I need the whole thing painted or could I use paint remover on the top part of the door panel

2SSRS...I take it painting the inside of the door panels was a success and you retained ABL? I'm looking at attempting the same thing. Was it difficult removing the paint?

Thanks!

It was hard, you will need to wet sand the inside.

Can anyone who has removed inside door panels can advise if these self drilling or tapping screws will work for reapplication?

I picked up self drilling screws #8x 3/4" hex head and there are four in the pack. I also got #8 x 1/2" self drilling screws with hex head, 100 in the pack and I also picked up a pack of washers to cover each application for each door panel.

Thanks~!
