Flowmaster American Thunder or MRT v2.0?

I know there's quite a few members with MRT v2 but how's F.A.T compared to it? I've listen to both but they sound very similar. Any significant difference about them?

The MRT's are completely 304 Stainless Steel, while the Flowmaster is 409 Stainless Steel tubing, while the muffler itself I believe is aluminized steel. May not make a difference to you...

And while drone is a personal thing and acceptable drone level varies from person to person... I think it is fair to say there have been more people commenting on the level of drone with the Flowmasters than with the MRT Ver 2s...

I love my MRT2.0 and wouldnt give them up If i'm reading correct, your asking what "drones" are. If thats the case, drone is incabin noise from the exhaust and depending on your exhaust, you may have more drone than others at certain rmps and just cruising along. Or you may find out at certain rpms, the drones louder than at other rpms

I have the FM. I like it. I'm not ECSTATIC about it, but I like it. I haven't heard the MRT 2 and it may be better, I don't know. If I were asked if I would recommend the FM, I would. I notice some drone, but not a lot. It doesn't bother me one bit.

Well just on quality of materials alone, I'd choose MRT V2.

I had the Flowmaster AT, changed it out for Borla. If you like loud grumble, the Flows will definately give it to ya. I got many compliments on the great sound for a V6. I took a trip on the highway and the wife complained about the drone, even after installing a resonated x pipe...it was a little excessive so I changed it out for a somewhat quieter system. I have not personally heard the MRT

I heard a Flowmaster exhaust on a v6er in person when I first got my Camaro, and I didn't care for it. I thought it sounded kinda ricey, actually. I never heard the MRT v2 in person before buying, only listened to clips online, but I'm really glad I went with the MRT. It has a little drone, but it doesn't bother me because I rock out in the car anyway.

I went with MRT because it sounded good on the clips and a LOT of C5'ers recommended it. I'm really glad I listened!!

Scrming – Unlike other exhaust manufacturers, we use T409 stainless steel to construct all of our 409S systems. The tubing and mufflers are constructed completely of T409 stainless steel. The only parts of our 409S exhaust systems that’s not made of T409 stainless steel are the polished T304 stainless steel tips.

Can you show us pictures of what your new outlaw mufflers look like on the inside? I like to see what they look like when trying to look through it. Is it a straight through design or is it baffled like the America Thunder (AT)? Also, will you be selling the outlaw mufflers without buying the whole catback or axel back? I have your AT catback and love the sound, but after installing my turbo, I feel I need and want a straight through design to help with flow. Your outlaw mufflers (if they are a straight through design) would be perfect to just weld in place of my AT.

Thank you for clearing that up... On your website you point out the tubing is 409 but you do not specify that the mufflers are actually 409.
