Guys running superchargers......

Question for you guys running superchargers. I'm looking to have one installed on my car but I want to know if you guys do any long drives with your supercharged car? I'm talking 2 hours plus of driving. If so, does it get real noisy or do you hear any resonance in the cabin of the car? I just don't want it to be unbearable if the family and I take a long drive.

Long rides are not an issue with my Vortech V3. Computer reports 20mpg.
Automatic car. Even with long tubes, no cats and Corsa can ease on down the hwy enjoying XM. No drone, no heat issues.
Just a little whistle noise to remind you it's ready when you are.

I have had no issues at all on long trips with my maggie. It doesn't get into boost when you're just cruising.

Heres my take on it. I drive to work an hour sometimes 2 hours to work. I run long SW longtube headers, High flow cats, and solo mach xl catback with J-pipes. The car is barely noticeable while cruising at 55-75+mph.. If I get it into boost and get on it you know for damn sure its not stock, not that its loud inside the car, but outside its a beast...

The good news is that 2 hour drives now only take 1.5 hours.

I drive mine back and forth from NC to NY sometimes. That's about 650+ miles each way. You'll be fine.

Dont forget Cadillac CTS-V makes a factory supercharger that is a comparable setup. Very reliable, quiet, and runs just as strong.

This is true. Lol!

I have a Whipple with long tubes and have been on several long trips with no issues.

I drive 2+ hours commuting to work everyday. I have a whipple and wouldn't be able to tell it was on there if I didn't know...well, unless i pressed the gas pedal too far. It's *very* quiet.

Tvs1900 is quiet, more audible whine with cai... Never enough lol although it has me at 635whp now. Going to 2.9 Whipple soon and forged to feed the addiction

Can't really add anything else from what has been said. It will be your choice of exhaust(if you so desire to mod) that can change noise levels dramatically from quiet to riot.

Excellent information guys and thanks. Though, I am very surprised to hear you guys that are running long tube headers, the car isn't noisy inside the cabin....unless you mash the pedal which is a given. Most likely, I'll be sticking with the factory headers but will be adding a full cat back exhaust kit. Leaning toward SLP Loudmouth II or Stainless works 3".

I've had people say the drone of my car is actually soothing and they could fall asleep. Either that or I have a serious exhaust leak.
The supercharger on its own is quiet and you wont even notice it.
