Can you describe the sound? The clutch is noisy so don't be too alarmed but you can always go to the dealer and have them check it out since it's only a couple weeks old.

I remember my old M6 being loud too and think that it is normal to a small degree. But like bajamoon said, compare it to others on the lot to find out for sure.

I have pretty much the same problem. Car grinds in shifting from 1st/2nd/3rd and will chatter when I push the clutch in. Ive takin it in twice and the dealership gave me a TSB that said it is normal for the car to do that when the tranny is cold. It's BS and it still chatters when its warmed up. Im changing out the tranny fluid and rear diff fluid in a few days when I get back from deployment. Ill let you know how it goes...

I am sorry for the frustrations that you may be experiencing with this issue. Have you been able to get this diagnosed at your local dealership? Please send me any details regarding this and I will be happy to look into this for you.

Hey Brandon, There was a thread like mine that was about 3-4 pages long.. and many people there had this same problem. Many of them reported it to the dealership and one person even printed out each page of that thread to show that many people are having the same problem.. unfortunately if i remember correctly every dealership said that the noise is normal..

I never had the noise but a change to full syn Redline tranny oil definitely made it shift smoother. Worth a try, it takes 2 qts, about $10 a quart.

I guess it depends on the noise. There is a bit of play in our driveline with the 2 piece drive shaft and just normal manual tranny noises. I know many will jump to the conclusion there just has to be something wrong and that the dealership is just lazy or not interested. Yes, there are a lot of legit issues (and yours may be) but a lot is just plain normal for GM. take it from a guy thats had 2 GTO's and a Camaro...........they simply make lots of noises.
Good luck finding out your problem.

Follow up to my precious message. I took it to the dealer.

Dealership heard the noise, kept it a day and gave it back saying there is no current solution available from GM in this issue.

Do a search on "drive line slack" or similar. I believe it to be normal. "Clunk" sound when moving slowly, e.g. parking, etc. and depressing clutch.

No problems with my car and it makes this sound periodically.
