L99 with a Maggie

Went to the track finally and it was like driving on ice through 3rd gear without the traction control on.. I am @ 490RWHP and 508tq. I have 315/35/20 Nitto Envos on the rear. I ran a 12.06 and a 12.04 best @ 118.5 and 120 mph with all the traction on and some spinning. Let the air down to 24psi and heated the tires up a little and it seemed to help some.. Left around 1000rpms with a 60' time of 1.887. Any thoughts or suggestions...So close to the 11's..The weather was about 80 degrees and a little humid also.

Get rid of the Invos for the track. Get some drag radials and you'll be deep in the 11s.

Thanks for the advice... I have BMR tie rods, trailing arms and Eibauch Pro 1" lowering springs. Next step is probably stall and drag radials..

Was this at NPR in Belle Rose, I like that track.

If you want to run your best on street tires, and you can't get it to hook at the track, you can roll into the gas gradually. How I do it is I hold the gas like you are, and then I gradually push down on the gas pedal to a long ONE count.... O N E.

Radials and drag radials like a prepped track. You'll run your best times after they spray and drag it.

I am crew chief for a 7.40@195 ODR LSX car and it's cut a best short time of 1.23 this year which takes some work.

I've gone 1.35 on 325 DR's, I need to try some 17's or 18's on this 5G after I start modding it.

YOU NEED DRAG RADIALS! Also if you stall to 2800 those Drs are gonna be pushing the limits of traction.
