speaker connectors

I bought a new set of BA speakers for the back of my camaro, they are supposedly much better than the speakers which are installed. That is yet to be seen however when I went to remove the speakers there is a connector which I am not familiar with. Not sure how to take it off or if it somehow special. Can anyone give me some info on this subject. I am know about the old stuff but seems things have changed since the last time I dropped speakers into a car. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

If your new speakers don't have the same connector then you're going to have to cut it off anyway, why not do that now?
