Question about Manual cover - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a weird question that I need answered.

What did you Manual come in?

Now I know that sounds weird, but I am wondering because mine came in a Plastic Ziptop bag... Not a little zipped case or anything nice... A ZIPTOP BAG. I mean really?

So not luxury. You would think if you spend $40,000 for a car, the Manual would come in a nice case or holder, not a plastic bag.

What about you guys?

They all come like that. Just another symptom of GM cutting down costs.

Get the SLP leather case. I kept the one that I bought for my 02 SS. You did not buy a luxury car, you did not buy a $40,000.00 car, you bought a $30,750.00 car with $9,250.00 worth of doodads. Add another by getting yourself a leather cover. aren't we fortunate to have such small nitpicks with our cars.

I remember seeing on here awhile back someone offering a leather manual cover.

Well it is just a little lame when I have someone in my Front seat and they are checking out my nice new Sweet A** ride and they pop the Glove box and there is a freakin plastic Bag. LOL I mean you buy a Mustang, and there is a nice Leather Manual pouch from Ford. I am just saying that for that kind of money, GM could have done a little better is all.

Well the wife is a picky person and she is not happy that it was in a plastic bag. What can I say? I thought that people here would maybe have a resolution, not give criticism, because we wanted a nice Manual case in our nice car. Hell I will buy one if I can find one.

All our dealers put it all in a plastic folder with the dealership info printed on the outside and cards for all the sales, service in pockets. Been that way for a decade or more.

Cadillac comes with a fake leather pouch.

You have a 2SS and you are complaining about the manual being in a bag and not a nice leather zip up case with some nice orange trim to go with the orange interior...

I repeat, Street Legal Performance had them for the gen 4's. They came with the certificate of origin kit. I know this because I bought the kit for car #7403 and I kept it when I traded it in for my 2010 SS. It is leather with SS embroidered on it. Call them.
