TVS2300 now or a Whipple in a couple months?

This is for an 05 GTO, just figured I would ask here since a lot of you guys have TVS2300's.

I spoke with Whipple yesterday after the shop that has my car said Whipple was making a cathedral port version of the new front entry Camaro setup. So I called Whipple and I asked them what the pulley alignment on the cathedral port setup was supposed to fit. Their response was F-bodies. Since the F-body and GTO alignment are the same this means it will fit a GTO with some modifications. They told me another month and a half to two months until they are released. They are making them with the 2.9L or the race 4.5L. Although I didn't ask when the 4.5L was coming out. I just said when is "it" coming out. So the 4.5L may be even later. I'm going to call on Monday and get clarification. They also said they will sell tuner kits without injectors and a tune for guys that are going big.

For now I am going to be doing all my rearend stuff and the fuel system. That way once I actually buy a blower it's ready to put on and tune.

So how much power is my 9.25:1 370 going to make NA?

All this talk of TVS1900 pullies not lining up has me worried. Has anybody had any issues with the TVS2300's? I know the blower will make power and it really likes adding juice on top of it. I saw a dyno chart of a 75hp shot on a 2300 that gave an additional 100hp and almost 200tq.

800rwhp+ at the wheels through a TH400. I'm still on 4-bolt heads, so until I build a 6-bolt heads motor I want to keep boost below 20psi. I plan on doing a 4.125" bore with 3.622 stroke lsx motor next year.

800 whp goals then ID say hold off for the whipple. This year I'm planning on doing a 402 ls2 stroker with a pd blower. Which blower is still up in the air. Until I c final numbers for kb and whipple is when I'll make my choice. Already k ow what the 2300 can so. So I'm just waiting.

why not go with a Kenne Bell 3.6. It will make the power you want with much less boost.

I decided I couldn't wait for the Whipple to maybe come out in a couple months for cathedral port heads. I ordered a TVS2300 from Hendrix-Engineering.

Congrats Jon; At least you know TVS works and delivers. Good luck with your install!

What got me was how well the TVS responded to a small shot of nitrous. If I need more it's just a small shot away.
