ATAK compared to Muffler delete, decel. popping?

Has anyone had both a muffler delete and the atak on an otherwise stock exhaust? (no headers) Or maybe you have ridden in cars with both?

I was wondering about how the decel popping and overall sound compared between the two. I have a delete right now and was thinking of getting the atak axleback to tone down some of the decel popping, but if it doesn't make a lot of difference then I dont want to waste the money.

Also how does the overal sound compare? I love the volume and rawness of the delete, and from the videos it seems that the atak has a similar tone.

never heard the muffler delete in person, but i have the atak catback and it has quite a b it of aggresive decel popping. I personally like the decel popping to me thats the old school muscle car sound i wanted and love and the atak delivers this to the T. in the muffler delete videos ive heard i think the car sounds blah to speak. noisy but plain. i would imagine the atak mufflers would tone down the decel pop some but i wouldnt expect a big diffrence. listen to the borla comparison video. its on this site and just search borla atak on youtube. maybe the sytpe would be a better choice its somewhat less agressive but still give you good sound when your on the gas

I have the muffler delete, and I love the popping. It reminds me of an old school muscle car.

Alot of systems pop on decel. If you don't like it the pop can easilly be tuned out. It's causes by an off tune A/F and the factory decel timing that goes under 0 degree's sometimes.

Yeah, I know you can tune it out, but I'm not going down the warranty void road, else I would just get long tubes and the borla S. I personally dont see how the popping is "old school" sound as everyone keeps saying, especially since the popping is a by product of EFI and the tuning. That was not around in the carb days, and most of those sounds came through a chambered flowmaster type muffler which would smooth out those types of sounds.

I have drove it for a while and it has grown on me some, but it still gets on my nerves. So I was hoping that the atak would be just enough muffler to tone down the decel. pops but still agressive on the throttle.

so does it do it only during "low" speeds or RPM's?
mine does it during low RPM's in almost every gear(2500-1100 RPM's) is this proper or a problem? if anyone can help me out.
thanks
P.S the ATAK sounds awesome.

if i am in the city, drop a gear. if my foot isn't on the gas, the popping will begin.
i was on the highway, dropped to fifth at 100 KM. it started to pop(2000RPM range). this made me wonder if everything was ok.
any feedback?
Thanks
