Hey the fit seemed right on the rear fenders. By the way, the IGM which was displayed at the auction seemed to be just enough lighter than the CGM that it seems shinier and even more swelterin' hotter (I just love my grammer). The rims in this grey fit the car color. Polished rims would not have looked as good.........way to ghetto for this car. If they are not going to build the Z28 version, than I definitely am ordering the 2SS/RS, IGM with Cyber Gray stripes this summer, manual short throw and possibly the sunroof. Don't quite know how the sunroof will look though as we haven't seen many pictures of this combo.

My opinion is that they look like perfection with CGM. Almost as if the Midnight Silver rims were made for CGM.

I can't see any panel misalignment in the pictures.

I'd still like to see it in "all" cyber gray metallic. the orange/yellow makes it like looking at a nice set of boobs with a bra on.

the nose of the car is not even really used in nascar anymore, they are almost identical cars except for the engines. the camaro was never the car for nascar design because it never sold enough to be the car for chevy.

They need to bring back IROC style racing and they could easily make stock cars with that frame kit they where talking about.

It does look like Nascar's Car of Tomorrow, which is the new car they started using last year. And even the COT engines are the same block and run at the same RPM range. Little higher than the old stock cars.

You know, I am definitely not a big NASCAR fan, but I think I will be watching the race this weekend just to see that beautiful machine in action!!

Chevy Camaro Returns as Official Pace Car for 51st Daytona 500; Iconic 2010 Model Returns to the "Great American Race" After 40-Year Absence

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Feb. 7, 2009) -- Daytona International Speedway officials announced the return of the Chevy Camaro as the Official Pace Car of the 51st running of the Daytona 500--the first Camaro to pace the field since 1969.

"Chevy has been a great partner of the Daytona 500 for more than 30 years, and the Camaro is an automotive icon,'" said Speedway President Robin Braig. "This 2010 model will set the tone for a 21st century sports car, and that's a perfect fit to lead the pack at the 'Great American Race.''

The 426-horsepower vehicle, powered by the 6.2-liter all-aluminum Chevy V-8, carries a PPG Cyber Grey paint scheme with a bold accent design befitting "The World Center of Racing." A Camaro has paced the field just twice in Dayton 500 history, in 1968 and '69, and this 2010 model is scheduled to hit showroom floors this spring.

Built on GM's new global rear-wheel drive architecture, the Camaro also will be offered in V-6-powered LS and LT models. Additional specs of the 2010 model pace car include:

* All-aluminum 6.2-liter V-8

* 426 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque

* Fully integrated strobe system, including a GM-designed custom light bar utilizing Whelen 500 series linear strobes

* 27-mpg estimated highway fuel economy

* Fuel-saving Tremec 6-speed manual transmission

* Top speed of xxx mph on the test track

I've been spying this car for so long. This is the best shot I like among the set. Actually I'm a camaro fan since 12. Seeing actual shots of the 2009 model gives me goosebumps upon showing these pics on my friends.

I always loved the camaro! Good thing it returned as the Official Pace Car for 51st Daytona 500. This makes me look forward to this year's Daytona 500.

The worst that can happen is the satelite and onstar reception get's messed up and the fin has to be replaced.

Oh.... And normally I don't like pace cars with their gawdy graphics and all. But this one looks damn sexy!! It would look good as a street car with the Indy logos removed I think.
