"small pockets" right, I forgot that...but, the STS's aren't overly-expensive for what I'd want...

See? This is why I asked...the trouble is - there's no test driving a Turbo, and a blower(centrifugal) to see which is what I want....

Right now I have 920rwhp and this red car has 1200 and is a TT. No overheating problems and we are in Florida. The split second or AEM both help address and fix this problem. The only thing is with the AEM you can not run dual injectors. I run dual injectors where the red car has singles. This car will run the Texas mile tomorrow. I was unable to go this year. Texas Boys are pissed at me and will be in Florida for the Dec Viper National so I owe a few dinners now.

Whoa... nice... i take it you've got some sort of intercooler system on those!!
How much boost you running??

The white S/C runs 15lbs of boost. I have an second intercooler over the right rear axle that holds almost 5 gallons. Ford Lightning pump to recirculate to the front. We do high speed interstate runs and this system makes for continuous boosting with no loss of power.

Red Car no info can go out since it is a new TT set up not the norm. The red car has been totally re done inside and out. Videos coming

As in 15psi!!... my road car runs not far off that as standard, you car turn the standard tubby up to 1.2 bar or 17psi... but things start to get a little toasty under the bonnet... it's not recommended.

I've got a question:

Is it normally in a Turbo's nature to actually suck power away from a vehicle at low revs? (compared to N/A)

I've seen a few dynos, and that seems to be the case...unless it's just the way the dyno shows data....no, I'm not mixing up units or anything...

Normally the S/C is sucking away not the turbo.

Turbos are not known for very low power yet there Tq numbers are much higher then a S/C engine.

White Viper 920rwhp/900lbs S/C system

TT Red Viper 850rwhp and 1025lbs Tq.TT system

Turbos make a lot more Tq and they come on strong at midrange and eclipse the S/C which makes instant Tq. As the numbers climb the TT produces incredible driveshaft twisting Tq.

Okay, then maybe it's just the graph...(you know how it seems the power band just drops off to nothing at either end? I think that's what happened)

Thanks!

It seems that the serious turbo motors are built with lower compression so as to survive more boost and thus make more power on boost. The trade off is that the low compression costs you a little power until the turbos spool up.

But I suspect that a lot of what you are seeing is just the steep curve caused by the turbos adding little or no power at low RPMs.
