True. The Camaro exterior wins, hands down, IMO, just as the Mustang interior is better appointed, IMO.

Sure, the Mustang interior may look better and have higher quality material, but they can afford to upgrade the interior because of other areas they cut cost in. No independent rear suspension, 315hp V8 engine to name a few. I'm sure in the long run everyone will be happier with a 300 hp V6 and 400-426 hp V8 with a pretty nice interior.

GM knows how to make a great interior (I am thinking Caddy CTS and Malibu since I have been in those). I think they went with this reto look because that is what many enthusiasts love. Simple and practical, no over-abundance of random buttons that you are afraid to touch for fear of messing up some radio settings or blowing something up or whatever. I love the interior, and my only small complaint is that the dash could be a little nicer IMO. I think they did a great job with it, but an interior refresh with an optional nav should be in the redesign queue since after all the enthusiasts who really buy this car for the great performance if offers have bought it, the regular folks may like some more high-tech stuff like all the other cars have. Just my $.02.

Hey guys, I'm currently in the process of writing a paper as to why the Camaro is better than the Mustang. I've done a good amount of research already on the Camaro since I plan on buying one next year and most of the info I am getting is proving that the Camaro "PWNS" the Mustang. So I just wanted to see what input I can get from you guys that can help me write my paper out. And also when I compare the Camaro to the Mustang I am comparing the (V6 Vs.V6 and the SS VS. GT) The GT 500 I feel should not be compared yet because I feel that it is the best among 3 (V6,GT, and the GT500) and once the Z28 comes out then that can be compared to the GT500 because chevy will have its best among 3 (V6, SS, and Z28) and I know the Z28 will be better. Your input will be very appreciated.

Anyways, I think you should take note that while a Camaro is more car than a Mustang, it was created in order to compete directly with the mustang. When the Camaro was cancelled in 2002, GM had no plans of resurrecting it until the 2005 retro redesign of the Mustang turned out to be a big hit.

It is also worth noting that the Mustang is more American than the Camaro because the Mustang was supposed to be an affordable roadster/sportscar. The Mustang sparked a revolution in the car making world by creating this new class of car, the pony car. Also, because of its price, virtually any American could buy one, and that is why they sold millions of them.

So, personally while I adore my Camaro and I prefer the styling of most Camaros to Mustangs, I would say that the Mustang is better than the Camaro due to its impact on society.
