The point is there is nothing wrong with gasoline as a natural resource we all use other than we are dependant upon it from other countries. We have enough places on US soil and in ocean near our land which can be mined, however environmental activists in politics have stopped them from being mined. So our dependence grows. Emissions in automobiles in the US do not pose this great big impact on the environment as the global warming alarmists have made it out to be. Back when Al Gore was in college, his thesis was based on fear of global cooling, I kid you not. So now it's called climate change as the name has become a joke yet the mantra has been followed without question by the complicit media. They can force us to buy an electric car eventually or force the auto companies via restrictions and so forth to make less gas vehicles and more electric at some point..Once we all drive electric, or some other algae based fuel perhaps (which I presume would give environmentalists a lot of money..) They would only target something else to destroy in the same fashion in order to keep themselves alive and relevant. The indoctrination of kids will keep them fearful of something else.. Whoever can guess what the next big thing keeping our ids fearful will be, it would be interesting to hear.. (Fear of overpopulation, simply breathing and exhaling destroys the planet?? Human race being bad guys even in space like in this new movie Avatar where Earth is a desert planet without vegetation on land, and apparently little in the water either?)

Global warming is BS.
Driving a hybrid or toyota is for the french. If socialism is great, why is america #1? Driving a camaro with a huge engine is what the american dream is all about. I will drive this v8 and peel some rubber right next to those hybrid hippies, just to show them who's boss. If you dont like america, you can geeeeet out. Get on over to canada. Get on over to france. You can take the governmental protection, I will take the 400+ horsepower |

No, Camaro was a made up word and GM just said that it was French for Comrade... Camaro is not listed as a translation for Comrade in any language

I am not sure if the V8 Camaro, has this feature, but The V8 Hemi engine can switch from 8 to 4 cylinders to save fuel. That could be a way to reduce CO2.
Moreover, FIAT has developed very efficient fuel delivery systems that reduce fuel consumption dramatically. The system is called Multiair and is a combination of variable valve timing through a combination of hydraulics and electronic control. This was developed from the F1 car so I guess, it could work on a V8 too. People have mentioned electric cars. There is a false assumption that electric cars will free the US from imported "fuel" The batteries for electric cars are made with lithium. The biggest Lithium "fams" are located in BOlivia which is now in the face of turning into a communist, dictatorial state, and against the USA. When GM was developing the VOLT, a US company tried to buy the concessions for the Lithium farms in Bolivia, but they were rejected at the last minute. Now the russians, and some others are trying to bid for the control of the resources. I believe it could even be more risky to jump into the electric car hype. Finally, hydrogen cars were the real deal, but because of external pressures, also BMW has shut down the development for this type of cars. I think the best think to do is to enjoy the V8s. They tried to kill them 30 years ago, but they are still here, and they will still be here for while. (I hope)

Yep CO2 wouldn't be such a problem if they would stop clear cutting. The hint here is trees respire CO2. The more trees the more CO2 is absorbed. The halt in breeding could help with the world stupidity problem as well.

all plant life requires CO2 and kicks out O2. so it's not just trees that we should focus on. I'm sure there is some bacteria that's out there that kicks out O2 and can survive hot enviroments. if so there are many places they could be put and we could turn around and have enough O2 to not even talk about this problem. |

There is another, far more practical application, and that is fuel-cell vehicles. Another form of electric car, where the electricity is produced via reverse electrolysis. (combining hydrogen and oxygen to make water). GM has successfully logged over 1,000,000 miles in this style of vehicle through a venture called "Project Driveway". The project has been recently moved to powertrain, due to its success. The second-generation is underway and doing well. The only thing that needs to be done to make these vehicles viable is to set up a Hydrogen infrastructure. (Pumps, lines, refineries, etc) Quote:

Don't kid yourself. Not all Timber Companies replant trees they have cut. Trust me I live in the NW. I've seen this first hand.

Who gives a shit, drive 'em and enjoy 'em. Big corporations and polititians sold the average American down the river long ago. Enjoy as much as you can before we become a 3rd world country. The America that the "Greatest Generation" fought for is gone forever. Sad but so true!!!!
