As for the trunk, I didn't take any pictures, but here's what I did:

Tie a rope to the emergency release handle, fold down back seats and put string on front seat. Give it a few test pulls to make sure it works, and you have a manual trunk release

ok another dumb question, aren't there door lock key holes on the driver side? I know I've seen them.

ok i guess i have a dumb question now, is there some type of setting to turn off the indexing of the windows? if so, why would you ever want to turn it off?

Ok, so I my battery died in my Camaro after it sat for a awhile. I opened the door fine. Nothing will happen to the seal. Opened up like normal and did not catch or bend anything. Also do not put the key in the ignition with a dead battery, you will not get it out.

You could always open the doors before you disconnect the battery... That way they would be indexed until you are ready to hook it back up...

I would use the battery tender myself though...

..............That's because you DID NOT disconnect the battery...................This was about a batt. disconnect!

The issue is about the window not indexing when opening the door with a dead battery, not about not being able to unlock the door... You can leave the doors unlocked anyway if you are going to store the car in your garage...

If you are storing the car in your garage, Leave the doors unlocked and the trunk open just disconnect the battery... problem solved..

Definition of Window Indexing. The window of your camaro will go down just a little bit every time you open the door, and it will return back up every time you close the door.. This requires a battery, with a charge. If the battery is dead, then the window will stay up in the seal with a tight snug fit. Making it very hard to open the door without thinking that you are about to break it. That is the whole reason this thread and three others like it exist. Matrix is afraid that if he opens his door with the battery dead, it willl break the window. I find it hard to believe that you open your door with the window in this condition, "all the time" as your first post states. If you have, i recommend you take that back to the dealer.
