Word. I ordered an '11 2SS/RS for a fair amount under invoice. It can happen but you have to go into the negotiation knowing the details and sticking to your guns. Having a fair amount of cash down also helps IMO.

yep, and I didn't at the time, but I was still ok with it since they did have to do extra work before I took delivery

I didn't let them detail it, though

Not to go off topic but is the detail something people generally decline from the dealer? Do they charge for it or is it free? I would prefer to do it myself too but i'm somewhat impartial at this point. Maybe when it gets closer to getting it delivered i might have a different opinion.

Nice ride btw Rip. Love the tint and black wheels. Going that route myself eventually.

it doesn't cost extra, but too many of them get in a damned hurry and don't know how to run a buffer. The end result is swirls in your paint

Go through your bank, or find a dealer that uses multiple banks/credit unions.

Mine got it for me for 4.7% through a credit union that I wasn't even a member of at the time.
