Edelbrock E-Force Install Help

Hello fellow edelbrock e-force installers,

I am about 3/4 done with my supercharger install but i have a couple problems/questions.

1. The edelbrock heater hoses suck. They move around a ton, they appear to rub up against the brake lines, fuel lines, and basically touch the coil packs. Has anyone had this problem? Did you modify the hoses at all, make a bracket, etc? Its almost like the rubber hose section that goes to the heater core is too long and needs to be shortened by 2 inches. This would bring them up and away from everything.

2. On the instructions it says the following:

Route the driver side PCV hose under the brake
booster hose and behind the coil cover brackets to the
vacuum fitting at the rear of the driver side valve cover
and clip it into place.

Where does this hose go to. I removed the vacuum plug out of the drivers side valve cover and hooked up the one end of the hose to the drivers side valve cover, but where does the other end go. The passenger side pvc hose goes to the nipple/quick disconnect on the intake tube. But theres no place for the drivers side. I read the rest of the instructions and there is no mention of it.

These are my biggest problems right now other than the instructions sucking a little.

If someone has these answers i would greatly appreciate the help and would love to be out there driving my car.

Thanks,

1. I played around with the heater hoses for a while trying to make it perfect. I couldn't get it perfect, but good enough by trimming off a little at a time until they fit ok. Still touched the fuel line so just slide a rubber hose over the tube to keep it from chafing.

2. Look under the s/c inlet, you should see the last remaining nipple under there for the driver's side pcv hose.

I used zip ties to help keeps the hoses in place. Try to hit them the best you can for a clean look.

I did the same thing with some 1/2" zip ties. Its close in there but I have not had any problems with things moving or rubbing.

The heater hoses are a pain in the rear, no doubt. I removed the clips that held them together and installed them individually then reinstalled the clips.

Also, make sure you have the hoses connected correctly, otherwise the engine will overheat.

I ended up cutting the hoses and then zip tied the lines. Car is done and a blast to drive. Only thing is one of the grommet that holds the cover on the passenger side is bad and need a new one. It wont hold the cover.

Does anyone have an email address to edelbrock to contact them and see if they will send me out a new grommet?

Just call tech support. Probably never get an answer from email. You will most likely be on hold just to get to support.
