HUD is the only thing that I would possibly consider as a benefit. I'm glad I got mine before those tacky backup sensor dots were added to the bumpers. I'm glad I got mine with the GM badge (I know most don't like it, but I do). I would love to have HUD though. Took delivery of mine in July 2009, and the only thing I've had a problem with is the loose spoiler bolts. If that's the biggest "bug" I've had with my car in almost 1.5 years, I'd consider this a very well made car.

I think the early 2010s look better for the two reasons I mentioned above and you can get it for a much better deal, but in the end it's your car, your money. To the guy harping on about the "pure economics" of buying a 2011, your circular reasoning helps nobody. Yeah, no kidding a 2011 is worth more. But like others have said, why not wait for the 2012, it'll be worth more. That's basically what you're saying. I have a masters in economics so I'd love to hear the "economics" of this, or even how what you're saying relates to economics, and not just personal finance. Feel free to PM me

Buying A 2010 Chevy Camaro? Take This 68-Point Checklist With You

I have not had any issues with mines at all....You have 68 items listed but your article does not mention percentages..you know..out of every 2010 built how many had these issues? Your article even states this:

"***IMPORTANT NOTE*** The following list is compiled from various individuals who are mostly experiencing isolated incidents. These are not issues every individual is having with their Camaro. Again, these are ISOLATED incidents that have mostly occurred to single individuals. By the accounts of owners on this site, most Camaros that have been delivered have been without problems. Please keep in mind that every first year production vehicle has more issues than later production years. This list is meant to serve as a comprehensive (perhaps overly) checklist of things to check for upon delivery, and should not be interpreted as widespread quality-control issues with the 2010 Camaro."

I really think this list is bogus. my .02

yeah, i just wanted to know the difference between the two. Even if i decided to get the 10 my mom would still prolly want me to get the 11. She has this issue with newer the better. Personally I use to ask her about buying me a 72 nova, 69 fastback, or a chevelle and i'd restore it myself little at a time and learning more about vehicles. But she was like "no your getting a new car" so whatever it's her money Like i said before just the fact that particular individuals are having minor problems with their 10 already gives me a good amount of discomfort.

SIM with the black race stripes. Looks waaay to sexy that way for me to pick a black over it, and black is for people who love washing their cars

If an iphone app is worth $3000 to you, get the 2011. They are both new cars right? That is the only difference. I'd take the cheaper one... especially since I don't plan on selling mine.

Exactly what bugs?
yes!..unless you want the "hud!'..i feel that it would be a distraction, and not necessary!..also you have to pay extra for it!..it's like being a non-smoker,and paying for a carton of cigarettes!..(w.t.f!)..work a deal on the '10 and be just as happy!

Do the same with the 11 and then see. The difference will be real money out of your pocket. Sure...if you are going to keep it forever it really doesn't matter much BUT.....not many will keep a car that long.

It is your money. Buy the one that suits you. Ask your dealer to put both deals on paper, look at them side by side. Get his NADA and Black Books. Look up REAL value of the '10 and compare to what you are paying. I bet you are paying more that its REAL value. Happens every day...emotion makes dealers rich...realism saves you money.
with cars costing what they do,the ONLY way you beat the system IS to hold on to it forever!..the OTHER alternative is to buy beaters run 'em until they die, then buy another!..my dad did this for a long time, and NEVER lost money on a car!..of course they were not worth anything, however he still got to where he needed to go for years!..in the final analysis, that's what it's all about anyway.whether it's a camaro,or any other car for that matter!

I'd do a swap or trade mine in for a V8 down the road. I don't intend on driving a V6 camaro forever

The BEST value is a well-priced used one with few miles and great condition. Let someone else take the initial depreciation hit.

Also note that it may be possible to find a 2010 that has been sitting around for a long time and doesn't have the backup sensors. They were added beginning with August 2009-built cars for dealer stock, or customer orders after August.

Rob (proud owner of 44223 from Aug 2009--with GM chicklets and no backup sensors)
