It appears under NY law you qualify for lemon law just based upon how many days the car was out of service, provided you had the car less than 2 years and its under 18k miles.

Why don't we WAIT until we hear the details before jumping to all these conclusions and throwing the lemon law all over the place.

its a new car with not much miles. a car with less then 20k miles should not have all these problems. i would be frustrated as well.

Agreed, but let's see what comes of this. Like it was said above, it may be an easy fix.

Just to mention, the motor in my land rover went after about 55k miles (I purchased it around 40k) it was replaced and then went again twice! each time was technician error. They didnt bolt something in correctly, tore a gasket etc. Using lemon laws were not an option because it wasnt a manufacturer issue.

The dealership paid for a rental car for the weeks/months it was in the shop but still. Talk to your lawyer first then talk to the dealer. If it was a mistake made by one of their guys you will have to tread very carefully to get a new vehicle.

They said its the AC compressor thats "leaking" and it needs to be replaced. Said its fine to drive and sent me on my way telling me to return once they get the part.

A/C oil can make things look pretty BAD. (I've worked on A/C for 15years)
But it can also mask other problems.
I forget did you say your motor oil was low??

Bottom line CHECK everything.

Thats really not the point. Having to take in you car repeatedly simply sucks. It doesnt matter then if the Dealer is nice or the Manager is nice or that The president of GM calls you and apologizes. having a car with issues simply sucks. Obviously many of you guys have had our Camaro's trouble free. So its has to be a quality control issue.

Point is Id be pretty pissed if I didnt have my car for 44 days and then had something go wrong no matter now minor.
