He should be able to provide a 1/4 mile stock list from a challenger website with timeslip varification to back it up. In addition, the owners would be posting the details of the run.

"Common" means it happens all the time. So he should be able to show us such list.

I provided him with a list of Camaros that have gone 12.8 or faster. I want him to produce a list of Challenger that have gone 12.4 or faster (bone stock).

I know that some of the forums (and I believe one of the major challenger forums is one of them) allow drag tires and weight reduction as considered stock? That's interesting in itself.

I have no problem with dodge guys just don't say they can run this all the time and the camaros can't run that. My best friend has a challenger and its nice. Im just not a dodge guy. But I would never dog on his car cus it is nice. And I like the mustangs I've always have but when I first saw the 5th gen I just had to have it. And its my first camaro.

Yeah, I personally like the Challengers. I like them a lot more than the Mustangs.

Its just ridiculous that he says the Camaro SS can't run 12.9s and the Challenger is a 12.3 - 12.4 sec car. Its total B.S.

Yea they are nice and I like the roomy backseat. Its ideal for a family and I have a family. But oh well the kids still fit in the backseat of the camaro and they love it.

How many sub 12.8 SS Camaro timeslips did you have in June of '09? By then there were about as many SS Camaros on the street as there are 392 SRT8s now. Give it some time. The 392s will clearly run about 2 tenths faster than an LS3 and 4 tenths faster than a L99 all things (driver/air/fuel load/traction) being equal. Hemi Dave thinks the gap is much bigger. I tend to think as more data comes and 392 owners learn how to best get off the line, it will show that where traction is best, the gap is also bigger but for now I'll just stick to what the facts show.

So Dodge had a slight price increase so I was off a bit on that...Thanks for pointing that out......

As far as everything else...I stand by that.......The SS is third fiddle right now on the drag strip.....

2011 GT's and 2011 SRT8's will beat you....yup...they will....you have fallen behind...

Accept the facts....or dont.........

The ZL1 will make you rise again.......but right now you choke on exhaust fumes

If you dont want to accept that...I dont really care

Pull up next to me with your stock SS and we will see what happens.

So in the video they say "Dodge brought 4 of these"... So they have the best driver in the best conditions with tires that are not used on the street. So... do me a favor and upload your video or any video without slicks. Or... a vid of a CTS-V or GT500 racing stock for stock. No one is saying this car is slow... but with stock 255s in the back... its hard for any car to run 12 anything. OR... live in your SRT pipedream of the 392 being a second faster than last years SRT8 or an SS or 5.0. I will give you some credit though... you DID produce some sort of video... but not a 12.3 lol (sorry I had to). And for the record... Chevy and Ford do the same thing. They will pay a driver a set the car up with slicks/drag radials before they produce them and sell to the public. I'm in the military and can't just leave (if I did I would go home and see family)... but if you are ever within 5 hours I will gladly come see you on a weekend and we can line em up. You need to brush up on your math....12.3's doesnt make it a second faster than an SS

Also......where did you get the idea that slicks were used?

Those were stock F1's "fanboy"
