Here are some better pics of the 10.5 rims with 315/35/20 INVOs (no spacers):

You guys forced me to spend more money; found a set of rears for cheap on ebay. Gonna send them off in the fall/winter for widening. Hopefully the wait will be shorter and some tires are in stock.

If anyone is waiting on 315/35/20 NT05Rs, Don Rucker Tire & Wheel in Austin had two earlier this week. I ordered two a couple of months ago, and for some reason they got four in from the distributor. You can give them a call to see if they still have them (512) 266-2640.

I used mine at the track for the first time last night with great success. I'll post up video tomorrow. I finally beat my son in his C5 Corvette.

KMCD, did you paint the inside of your wheels or did they ship them that way? I'm thinking about painting mine to try to hide the welds a bit. Not sure what I should use though.

I don't want to change the face of them, just the inside of the rim to hide the weld a bit. I don't think powdercoating would be necessary.

Just stiff bristle the welds to get rid of any welding residue and porosity. Spray them real good with paint prep, give it some bare metal primer, and then find some polished aluminum colored paint. You'll just have to look around for a close match but there's plenty of places that sell wheel paint although any automotive paint will do.

Brush the welds like Synner said. If you're just trying to subdue the inside of the rims like I did, use some self-etching black primer and call it a day. That way the brake dust and road grime just blend in, and you only have to clean the outside surfaces.

Vararam, DT shorties, resonator and muffler delete with x-pipe, Race Ready cutouts and a dyno tune from RPT Performance in Austin.

I think the wider wheels with the NTO5Rs made the biggest difference coming off the line.

2.001 (which was slightly quicker than his despite the fact that I'm over 500 lbs heavier)

I also "tree'd" him. My reaction time was .05 (to his .45), and after that it was hold on for dear life while he closed on me. His top end is better than mine (he trapped 4 mph faster than I did), but I held him off just long enough to win by .033 seconds.

Did you have a consistent 60' before to note a difference with the wider wheels or not enough runs yet?
