I just put a set of widened wheels on my 2011 SS. They are the stock 20x9 wheels widened to 20x10.5. This is my setup for the track so I put nitto nt05r 315/35/20s on them. The car is lowered 1.25 " with pdaft drop springs and the wheels clear everything even though the car is lowered. They miss the inner wheel well by a little more then half an inch with no spacers. I drove them around quite a bit and they dont rub at all so i guess they are good to go. Just figured id post this to help anyone else out who has lowered their car and is worried about clearance issues. Hope this helps.

So what did you do on your front wheels?

How is the traction difference with the 20 inch Nittos compared to the Pirellis? Your sig shows a stall and a cam so it must be minimal with the p zeros compared to the Nittos.

The traction difference is huge just with the burnout. The nto5rs barely wanted to even spin, compared to the stockers that spin on demand.

What if I put another set of 9-inch OEM rears on the front with 275 INVOs? Isn't that what you're doing?
I went ahead and moved the 8-inch/245 fronts out by 20 mm until I need new tires, at which time I'll put 9-inch stockers up front with 275s.

Does this look any better?

That looks a lot better. Are the spacers in the back still 20mm?

Yep. Twenty millimeters on all four corners now. This way I didn't lose any threads on the stock studs, so I still have the option to take them off when I go to the track.

If I had it to do over again, though, I'd put rear stockers up front like you're doing. The 275 INVOs would look good up there (when are we going to see your pics?).

Oh well, I'll need new tires eventually.

Nitto just did a production run on the 315/35/20 Invos and are sending them to people on the emergency list. I'm on that list now and should have the tires in my possession hopefully Friday.

Any change in steering feel or response with the adapters up front?

I know the wider track is supposed to enhance the handling characteristics, but I can't tell any difference. I'm gonna' check the adapters here in a few days, and I'll let you know if they require any re-torque.

Actually, I did notice one change, and it's going to sound goofy, but the brakes are quieter now. Don't ask me why. Maybe the harmonics changed on the wheel/hub assembly.
