Nice times. I'm anxious to see how much the Hypertech helps. Also adding a little blended race fuel will help the V6 Camaro as it pulls timing with spark knock and it will still spark knock some even with 93 octane.

Chevy desperately needs to drop at least 2 or 3 hundred lbs off the Camaro. Just imagine what these cars would be doing if they also weighed around 3,400 and 3,500 V6 and V8 respectively. 13s and 12s would be the norm with a decent launch and OK DA.

-I would think 44 hp and rwd would more than account for 400 lbs or... 32 hp would more than account for just a passenger weight difference(200 lbs).
First, another worthless post by you. Glad you try to insult people who are just starting out with who-cares info from MotorTrend. You don't even have a car thats in the LS or the "muscle car" family. Your skin means nothing as you arn't in the game at all.

Secondly, good job OP. Always great to get your experience going and actually see when tuning/mods improves ET & MPH. Are you doing anything to cut weight down at the track? Running a full tank of gas? Keep it up.

I have a 4.6 Jeep Cherokee Hesco stroker that will "out-muscle" many LS engines out there(4.8, 5.3, etc.) and put them to shame in the torque department(especially off idle, low end).... I was pointing out that even Camaro's with good times(not knocking on the OP at all) are hitting the same time's as a few cars that you wouldn't expect it to.

you need to be tuned for it.
and even then you don't have the compression for it on a stock engine.

Not saying I want them to ride like a 4th gen, but if Toyota can build a 3,600 lbl Camary with all the modern safety and creature comforts...GM can build a 3,600 Camaro.

*3,300 for the new 2012 V6 Camry, it's dropped 250 lbs.... I hate Camry's, just saying this to reinforce your point....

I have the base 305hp V6, no stiff ride and handles decent.

And the term "more useful" is in the eye of the beholder. As I have no need of 4 doors, my coupe then becomes more "useful".

Lastly, the point remains that Mustang V6/Camaro V6 performance + 2 more doors costs $5,000 more with that car.

That is the big picture ...
