While waiting for my SS to arrive at the dealer I asked what day their dent guy shows up...it was the next day. I had him take out two creases in the right side doors of my 03 Silverado SS...they've bothered me since getting them...over 3-years ago and the rest of the truck is near flawless. It made me sick every time I looked at the passenger side. The guy performed a miracle and got them all out. I'll just need to block-sand with 1,000 grit and buff.

While the guy was working my truck my salesman told me my car arrived the previous night! Upon inspection...guess what...yep...a ding...dead center in the passenger door right in the crease. Ding guy had it out in minutes and you can't tell where it was at all.

There is hope, so don't dispair.

I would be pissed off like the OP. There are assholes out there that will ding your car just for the hell of it.

As much as I LOVE Ol' Blue, I have NEVER had a vehicle that gets dented SO EASILY! Been to the Dent Doc twice and about to go AGAIN and I haven't had her quite 2 years....

OP is not overreacting one bit!
I spend my hard money and more of my hard to find time trying to take care of it and to have some one careless ding it up would piss me off too! Especially the 1st one. those are always the ones that hurt the most. yes most dings can be removed but you still have to go through the hassle and what little expense. Maybe some of you don't mind but at this point in my life i don't need the headache. I'm not going to go postal or lose sleep over it but still would be mad!

I feel your pain... nothing pisses me off more than finding damage done to my rides by people who just don't care.

It does hurt, I have never been as careful with any car I've ever owned, I park way away from everyone take every precaution I can think of yet last week I pulled up and ran into a high curb scraping the front passenger side. I could of died. The damage wasn't real bad but I still took it to the body shop to fix it. gouged the plastic and scraped paint off. Any other car I would of probably lived with it but this one is my baby. Don't know if I would of felt better if someone else would of caused the damage instead of it being my own fault. Luckily it can be fixed.

I'm scared and waiting for my first door ding first. I'm even edgy towards family members. Today my sister and I were cleaning our cars together (psh, I was pretty much cleaning both cars, damn me for volunteering to help...) but anyways she did bring a vacuum cleaner out to use the attachment and she brought it between our cars and carelessly got REALLY close to my care with it. I snapped at her "Hey! Be careful next to my car!"
Call me mean, but I love my car. Of course I would forgive someone if it was an honest accident, but I would never forgive myself. I'd always be like "well if I hadn't parked there, or parked 3 feet back in the driveway".... yadda yadda yadda.....

Eh, I just got mine out of the way early. 350 miles, a chunk of metal hit the front of my car. It was kicked up by the car in front of me. Damaged bumper and tire. $1300 claim. Cost me $100. That's why we have insurance. And it was comprehensive claim so no rate hike
