Forgestar F14's w/ Nitto NT05's

New track setup. 18x10s w/ 305 45R18s. One tire required almost no balance weight but the other required a lot. Shouldn't be an issue at 1/4 mile at a time though.

Did need to zip tie parking brake cables to avoid rub but fit is good. Now we'll see what they are worth in 60ft reduction.

I'll get back to you on the weight. Wanted to get the test fit done so didn't put them on the scale the first time. Going to be a track only setup sp I'll be swapping them on and off at the track. I'd guestimate 15-20 lbs lighter per wheel under vs stock 20's.

Price can't help you with since I bought these from private party but there are several vendors on here that can give you a quote. They are significantly less than a Weld or Bogart but your not getting a full forged wheel either.

Thanks. No cruise here. Too many chores around around the house this weekend. Just couldn't put off mounting the new setup for a quick look.

These are NT05Rs not NT05s. Pet peeve of mine that people leave the "R" off of Nitto drag radial names.

Yeah I caught that after I submitted it. Tapatalk on the phone is a little tough to get things typed right sometimes.

Ok so finally got both stock and aftermarket wheels/tires on the scale (bathroom so some error possible in the numbers). Stock: 76.6 rears F14 with Nitto NT-05R's 55.4

21.2 lbs per wheel lighter. Should make a significant improvement in accelleration!

Get some matching fronts to really make a difference. Swapping to 18s is by far the best mod I have done to my car, lost 66 lbs total!

SUX2BU, what are your tire specs? Also it looks like your car only has a 1" drop? Looks very low.

Yeah I'll get there eventually. Just got good deal on the rears with DR's so I jumped on them. I also shaved 17 lbs with the new clutch setup. Total rotating mass saved so far: 59 lbs.

The ones in my sig pic are 245/45 18 (26.7" tall) fronts and 295/40 18 (27.3" tall) rears. Here is some better pics. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151258 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152827

Now I'm running the same fronts but 335/30 18 (25.9" tall) BFG G-Force KDW rears. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198653

My track set up is 185/50 18 (26" tall) skinnies and 315/30 18 (26" tall) Hoosier drag radials. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181059 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198150

Yeah, I also have a 1" BMR drop. But, with my drop and short tires my car is almost 3" lower than stock.

RPS Carbon Street Twin. Done a little canyon carving with it and it is awesome so far. Next will be some road track running in a couple weeks and then drags again about 3 weeks from now.
