After watching that video one has to wonder who the hell tests cars like this when it's that cold out?

Yes I am surprised GM allowed the mags to test in such cold weather knowing thier performance results would be skewed. Especially considering the tires are summer performance tires not meant to run in low 40s weather. Guess the just wanted any kind of publicity

I love the camaro , but the gtr is in a whole league beyond it.

Why did they compare these cars ? GTRs stock can whoop a ferraris ass , they are an exotic car and the best "supercar" for the money. If I was rich , I wouldn't think about any camaro and go straight for the GTR. For god sakes it's faster then a zr1 vette'

You are correct...most rich people buy expensive supercars for the prestige, not really for the racing capability. I can't see the GTR as being a prestigeous car. It's fast and quick but that's all I see. If I was rich, I would buy a Ferrari or Lambo. BUT...I would still buy me a Camaro (ZL1), cuz I love Camaros.

The latest 1/4 mile record for a stock ZR1 vette, on drag radials is 10.32. And the new ZO6 stock 1/4 record on drag radials is 10.71.

I wouldn't push any summer tire expecting great results when it's less than 70* outside.

The GTR is not "faster" than even a Z06 although some may deem it "quicker" due to the GTR ease of launching.

The ZL1 was never intented to compete with the GTR, if it had been then it would have stomped it but beyond that as "great" as the GTR is when you by one you get home then something horrible happens, you realize that you just paid nearly 100k for a Nissan

The fact that they even compared it to the GTR say a lot about the ZL1. The article said there was nothing to compare it to as it far and above anything else in its class. Were it warmer, the ZL1 would have performed better closing the gap as warm weather would surely have a greater advantage on a RWD car with summer tires, vs. an AWD car.
