And for the guys that share my annoyance at the mandatory Big brother driver, with a couple timed relays and a little wire and about twenty minutes of my time my nannies turn off automaticly every time I start my car, excactly the way It should be. if I feel I want to use the nannies then I just reach over and tap the nanny button and there on if I want them. I'm a busy guy and I don't have time or patience to hold the damn button down for 6 or 7 seconds every time i start my car too have full control of my car.

In your month and 21 posts (I promise I'm not belittling you here), have you realized you don't get a monopoly on a conversation just because YOU think you're right? Quote:
...of course, does this take into account the fact that TC/ST doesn't do a thing unless the car gets into trouble? Or that you can hold that seven seconds in between your driveway, and ohhh...maybe about 500ft down the road? Nooooo... ![]() I'm sorry - please forgive my sarcasm....but I've always felt this is like arguing the faucet should always be running so you don't have to waste time turning the handle to wash your hands....

Excuse me...but building, or even buying and driving a 100hp, 580hp, or 1000hp car has NO correlation with the driver using the good sense to drive safe. Nor does your message account for an individuals' lack of skill & corresponding lack of humility to realize it.
Agree to disagree. These cars IMHO are created to be marketing/must have wonders. It's called doing your job WELL. Unfortunately HUMAN NATURE does NOT factor in 'good sense' or safe driving or good driving skills. If they did perhaps GM/Ford would require a safedriving course before purchase as is done in many states before you can purchase ATV(4X4)? No I do not want this-we have enough Big Brother. I guess where I'm going with this is-GM,you are producing a stout car-not unlike a drug with known side effects. Be prepared to deal with them-on both sides. Mfg and consumer.

Really ! ! Close the thread because your frustrated that facts are causing problems with your statements !! . I love this forum a lot , but every once in a while I think the damn thing is ran by the government or something ! I mean dang ! Now we're talking the 1% and 99% argument, come on I hope we're all adults on here. I don't Need to told to be carefully cause some people just aren't qualified too drive a car this nature. And your wrong about saying Fbod was talking about TC, he said I said a false statement in saying the OP even with the nannies on which I proved was tru based on his pics. He could have hit that turn at 60 or and been in neutral and still couldn't have made that turn in the rain ! That was my point !
Z28 I'll PM you the pics and the details of how too do it but don't get mad at me and sue me if you spin out and hit a tree or something ! |

I responded to you because I don't believe this is a reality that can be held against the company, as I interpreted your message as saying. Quote:
I think you needed to be reminded that this IS just the internet...and some of us are getting incredibly defensive...Oh - and I'm not the government, but we do like to keep our forums clean of nonsensical bickering. I don't see anyplace in this thread where fbodfather said that the OP could have made his turn with TC on. As far as I can tell; is commenting to ensure that readers of this discussion don't leave with the dangerous misperception that the Traction Control systems are useless - and are best left off for daily driving. A sentiment I tend to agree with... Your point, mentioned above, and his point earlier that accidents do happen no matter what - are in agreement with each other. So what are we arguing about?

However, you're skipping the part where I would never put a loaded gun to my head, safety on or not - because that's stupid. Just like driving recklessly on public roads is stupid, and there's no guarantee that TC/SC (as good as it is) can compensate for intentional disregard for safety. So let's come full circle...If you drive poorly in any car (let along one with +400 hp), no amount of TC/SC can save your behind - agreed. On the other side of the coin...if the situation is common, TC/SC can't save you if it's OFF. That is the missing link that fbodfather wanted to bring to light... Yet, if you just drive with your head in the first place -- you stand a much better chance of avoiding an accident! So...again - what you arguing for? We seem to agree! ![]() By the way - OP, I'm not referring to you in any of the above. |
