straight pipe wow

i took the mufflers off to readjust them and wow is it loud. definitley not for the faint of heart.

The car sounds like an v8 up to 4k rpms but higher it makes the trumpeting raspy noise.

is their any way to straighten it out at the higher rpms?

thanks guys.

The flowmaster axle back i have now sounds awsome and super deep at all rpm its just that i want something louder in low rpm and i dont care as much about how ricey it sounds or drone i just want louder.

I will have mine at the great lakes dragway april 22 that is if your coming up that day. I put in some short glass packs to tone down my muffler delete. Sounds great to my eyes but drones at 80+ mph. Some where I posted some photos of my setup.

I did a muffler delete on my v6, rumbles very nicely. Only thing I can't tell if I like is the sound at 3-3500rpm. I think I need to hear car drive by me to know how others hear it!

I'm prob just over analyzing, someone at an auto store heard me driving by (was pissed at someone, down shifted, passed and pulled a (legal) u-turn. Had to go south, u-turn, and go north to get to store. Anyway, I've known this guy a couple years, and he hadn't seen my camaro yet... Basically he said car sounded incredible, what exhaust do you have. I told him just muffler delete

The LLT will never sound like the LS3/L99, point-blank-period.

Going catless or canless will give you a very aggressive rumble only on idle and until about 3-4k rpm but after that, is all down hill from there LOL. If you decide to go catless just make sure you have a good exhaust or resonated x plan set.

Please try it if you havent it sounds lile a v8 at low rpms than higher it sound really bad like

A trumpetting noise.

Think about this how many times a day do you go over 4K rpm or higher. Which

I know straight pipes are frowned upon on a v6 but until i heard it in person i was always disgusted by people who did it but now i know it sounds good. I always thought the videos were horrible.

I was adjusting my flows since i installled the clammp badly and decided to take the mufflers off and drive around at firt in the cabin driving was bad and i didnt like it hen my brother said it sounds awseome.the he drove it and it sounds 10 times better when someone else drives it.

Hmmm.. If you remove your mufflers doesnt that reduce back pressure resulting in loss of hp & tq?

no loss... stock cats and manifolds have plenty of back pressure...

Thanks. I have some experience with Harleys and it's known that running straight drag pipes rob tq significantly. I didn't figure in the cats.

I've heard it and does not have the low grumble at any rpm like an SS. Sorry that just my opinion.
