So what is the best way to go about having a stocker setup with 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 Rear. Is it widen the fronts and move the rears up to the front. Or do I widen both. I was under the impression you could only widen them about 1.5"? I like the way kmcd's rear wheel looks and want my front to fit and match the rear. So I guess what is the best way to have that look with a 20x9 front.

After reading all of the threads, I will move my 20X9 up front with the stock tires and no spacers, buy a second set of 20X9's and have them widened to 20X10.5 and install 315/35zr20's and install a set of 15-20mm spacers on rear to move the wheel out to the fender lip to match the front. does that sound right? Does anyone have that set up?

If you have or plan on having coil overs you will have to use a spacer up front - I did the widened wheel package by ADM Performance - love it!!! Makes the car a lot more stable and handles like a dream in the corners!!!

The front stockers are less concave than the rear stockers, and when you move them to the back, some people (myself included) think they look odd because the more-concave wheels (the ones that used to be on the back) are now on the front. Personally, I think the best setup is to do what yotaman did and mount an extra set of rear stockers up front with 275s. Then do what he and I both did and mount rear stockers (widened to 10.5") on the back with 315s. I would then go with 15-mm spacers on the front (like he is) and 20-mm spacers on the back (like I am). I'm currently running the front stockers (8", not widened) up front with 245s. I put 20-mm spacers up there to move them out close to the fender, but as soon as I wear these tires out, I'm going to put rear stockers up there with 275s like yotaman did. When I do that, I'll trade my 20-mm front spacers for 15s. Now, if you don't want the added expense of buying an extra set of rear stockers for the front, then I recommend widening both the fronts and rears. That way you can keep the less concave wheels up front. However, you can usually find a set of used rear stockers for about the same money you would drop widening the fronts. Did you follow all of that?

I'm not running spacers at all right now. I have 15mm adapters that I plan to put on the back. I may get a very small spacer for the front.

I bought some 45th wheels and sent the rears to Weldcraft in Michigan to widen the rears to 10.5 wide.
http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/ The cost to ship from NF NY was 25$ per wheel and to widen was $275 per wheel. To finish the weld on the inside was an extra $75 per wheel. I do not know of a company in Canada widening? Once I get get them back they are going for chroming! Show them in off in the summer!!! |

Just got my rims back today from Eric Vaughn in Monrovia California. WHAT A EXCELLENT JOB! And Eric is a great guy. This guy is a perfectionist and all he does is rims.....from racing rims to stockers.
315 tires go on Saturday......I can't wait!!!!!
