You can use meth to increase psi....nobody is saying you cannot. Everyone is saying that you need to tread lightly and understand that the risk of failure rises dramatically with boost....especially on stock bottom end. I didn't read the whole thread so maybe you are forged...same advice applies. It's like rolling the dice a little....and bear in mind that at least one of the posters who was giving you meth advice....has since blown his engine. If blowing your engine does not concern you then proceed but if it does then tread cautiously.

Turbos are magic according to everyone so 600 should be easy without the CAM. You don't need a forged crank til power gets to the 1000 rwhp range in my opinion...the stocker is strong. Rods and pistons not so much.

That's what I kind of thought, what do you guys reccomend for Rods and pistions. Stock specs just forged? I have a hard time finding info on internal hard parts.

Lets start with how much power are you looking to build? If you are staying under 700-800 then the stock rods are fine....many have taken even more power but that's where I would start to get nervous.

Tons of guys have with not a single rod failure that I ever recall seeing on the forum. Not one broken rod.....I'd say they're good to go.

I'd say 700-800 hp too. Most anybody that will go through the trouble to put pistons in a block will more than likely go ahead with rods. The week part of ls rods are usually the rod bolt.

Crank? Run it till your stock engine dies...if it does....then rebuild a nice stock displacement forged piston motor.

The only thing holding me back then is octane right? I have supportive fuel upgrades. Basically I have to put my trust in meth?
