the reason i asked about the c4 camaro wheels is i have a set and was thinking i might could use them for drag radials if they bolted up.

I always admired a guy that had a 87 grand national that ran 7.50's in the 1/8th. Told me it had a bigger turbo and 3.73 rear end, drag radials. That thing was a bad machine. Hoping this c5 bowtie will put out some extra power after a little help.
What part of VA you in?

I realize that the op has an M6, but here is our recipe for the L99. This car has run 11.90 and better.

Helps to have a good DA too. I'm in Utah and the DA's here average in the 6000-7000' range. I go to Vegas and take almost a full second off my time. 12.5 in Utah, 11.6 in Vegas. Cam, Heads, Long tubes, 3" exhaust, 2800 TC, On 20" DR's.

The track you run on is more important then any mod... You could have all the Bolt on's and a great suspension setup and you will never reach 11's... But if you have a good DA and great track prep you can do it!!!

A tune will void you warranty anyway, so you might as well just throw a cam in there and get tuned once. If warranty is a must have as listed in post 1, do the suspension mods listed above and try to break 12's.

Tune doesnt necessarily void your warranty. You just have a chance of them not doing warranty work IF the tune caused the damage.

I am tuned, with headers, intake, cats, trottle body, etc. And just had my entire rear end replaced under warranty.

I know its no the engine warranty, but the same thing applies. If they determine the tune broke something, then there is no warranty.

Gears, CAI, tune, a drag pack and possibly a clutch with decent air and prep should get you there with some seat time to hone your skills launching. What have you run so far?
