I hate jacking the rear corners separately. Lately I've been using a 2x4 and jacking the rear in the center of the trunk pan. No funny noises so far! I need a low-profile jack so I can get to the diff. The rear gets pretty low once the front is in the air.

Yeah. Mine hits the hangers just before the head of the jack gets there... sucks.

Those are great pics....I had seen this before (several months ago) but totally forgot about the. What I really want is the jack that raises the car on its side like in the pics. Not good for draining fluids but what easy access to the bottom of you vehicle.

My car came with a jack under the spare... The ss cars don't have one right? What's in it's place?

Exclamation Differential lift point

I did a wheel and tire swap recently and thought I would add a couple of pictures showing the differential lift point.

Harbor freight sells the cross bar and the aluminum jack. I I found it was very useful to jack the Camaro front subframe. I disagree with the first page depiction of putting a floor jack in the center of the front cross members. They're thin and will bow. I drive my car on ramps to get the jack under it. Alternatively, I recently picked up the super low profile jack in the foreground.

A battery. Because our engines are so big there's no room under the hood.

Inflator kit. Most v6's don't have a spare either unless someone ordered it (I did because I have a long commute).
