Question Question Regarding Unlocking Doors From Inside

Hey guys,
So I just got my car a week or so ago, and originally thought that I just didn't have the hang of the 2-pull rule to unlock the doors from the inside, because my passenger side door seemed like a hit-or-miss type of thing.

Well, now that I have spent more time with it, I am noticing now, I don't think it's just a quirk, the driver's side door, works like a charm, but the passenger door takes usually 3 pulls to get it to unlock and open.

Suggestions?
I really am nervous to try and get anything worked on,
but I want to take care of it, if that's what it needs.

when i had my camaro my passengers would just pull the handle once then the second pull opened and unlocked the door. My driver did the same. So what im trying to say is with two pulls it should unlock and open the door.

Yeah, I had read about that before I bought the car, and so I have been testing it out ofcourse, and the first couple days I owned it, I spent more time in the passenger seat, so I thought it was just me, being a dweeb and not being able to handle that amount of technicality, but now, I have been driving it more since it's been home, and all my other passengers are having the same issue; 2 pulls, I am out, but they pull twice, the little
door-lock thing that pops up, goes up about halfway compared to the driver's side, and then on the 3rd pull, it will open the door, but the little knob thing (sorry, I don't know the correct word), still doesn't seem to go up all the way.

I have no problems getting in either side from the outside though.

okay, couldn't change anything that seemed to be the problem? It's set for "Unlocked Door Anti-Lock Out" and the Auto Door Unlock is set for all doors.

If the program is anything like my Colorado, there's an option to auto-unlock all the doors when the car is turned off or put in park. This would eliminate the need for a 2nd pull on the door handle as the door would already be unlocked.

Do your doors auto-unlock when the car is put in park or the key is turned off?

It's manual so I can't put it in park, but I kind of liked having the 2-pull setting, just for
the sake, that if I wanted it like that, and it is supposed to work, then I would like
it to be functional, instead of having to set it to auto-unlock.
I currently see that under the "Power door locks" section in vehicle settings, it says I have the auto-unlock on for all doors, but I just turned the car on, then back off to see if they would unlock but they didn't seem to, I am in the garage though, does the car have to be moving to get the doors to lock properly for this feature? so that they will unlock when the car is turned off?

I've noticed with mine...If I turn the car off and the key remains in the ingintion then my doors are still locked and have to double pull to open either door. As soon as I take the key out, both doors unlock.

Once the doors are locked, it should be:

1) Double pull handles to unlock/open
2) Remove key from ignition, doors unlock
3) Hit the unlock button between the AC Controls

If I'm letting out a passenger, I've found myself doing number 3 because any new and some repeat passengers seem to get nervous when the first pull doesn't open the door.

Just remember anymore than 2 pulls and you could go blind if you keep doing it!

I've let wife and kid out of the car while its still running, but in park without them doing any of this double pull stuff. I know I haven't ever changed any settings for this. Doors unlock when put in park.

So after checking it out, I have verified that yes, with the auto-unlock on, the doors only unlock after the car is off and the key is taken out of the ignition. that works.

But, my original concern was that upon trying to open/unlock the passenger door from the inside while the doors are locked, that even after the 2 pulls, the door is still not open, it takes an additional 3rd pull for the passenger door, so is this something I
can fix or what should I do about it?

with the remote unlock, and the removal of key unlock, the passenger door unlocks fine, just with the pull-method, it does not.

I want everything to work as indicated, so this is kind of bugging me.

I am picky, sorry. any further suggestions?
