get the vinyl ones. I originally had the plastic ones, but they didn't fully stick to the gills because they couldn't conform to the correct shape. Ended up having to take em off and put the vinyl ones on.

Very small parts if you're not experienced just damp the gills with water and a drop of dish waher liquid, it alloews you to move them, then take a air dryer at medium heat to secure every thing and we all dry take off the protective cover orver the vinyl...

It's really not. Like the above post just put some soapy water on the gills and then apply the vinyl. It'll let you move them around and get them just right. Then use a credit card to squeegee out the water.

I got the GM gill stripes. Very happy with the quality.

I have the RPI ABS inserts and if you can get them to fit well they look good but you have to heat them and form them before you install them. If not then they pull away in the corners and look like crap

i build custom cars and from what i've seen out there retrousa stuff
is as close to original appearance as anything else available. quality and fit is
excellent. they have both chrome and black/paintable

I did a little digging around and simply can't justify the nearly $200 for the GM ones. Saw some nice decals out there that go from clear to black in grade which gives more of the appearance that they're not molded plastic and give a more realistic vent look. I was hoping to find the chromed or satin ones that incorporate the graded black inset but haven't as yet. I'm disappointed that that style doesn't appear to stay on as steiger pointed out. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'll check out the retrousa stuff as you suggest hotrodrick, any other suggestions out there?

Tib

was thinking the slp fade ones might do for me but i'm going to try to make my own and see how that works out.... i figure once i have a good template to work from i can reverse it for the other side it won't be that hard and save the 50-200 dollars
