Aluminum intake for ZL1

Does anyone know how tall the stock intake/blower is or how much clearance there is from the intake base to the bottom of the strut tower? I am looking to get a aluminum intake and want to make sure it will fit. Thanks

You want to remove the blower to add a NA intake?

Should have plenty of clearance when installed.

I think so too. I am in the process of acquiring everything and will start a thread with a step by step update as it progresses. Kind of want a different intake instead of a plastic LS3 manifold if possible.

You will have to cut your cowl and lose your passenger side wiper when putting that on. There are a couple threads about the mid rise and high rise intakes in the bolt on and forced induction V8 forums.

Thanks for the links Blake. I was hoping the ZL1 hood/strut tower had more room than the regular ls camaros. Looks like it will be a LS3 intake.

Not 100% sure but I do believe this Wilson manifold will fit under the strut brace! Maybe someone on here has tried?

Adding TTs is far from ruining a ZL1.

Looking forward to the build thread OP!
