Dyno numbers with New Era VVT cam and ported heads
I just finished up some more mods on my 2010 L99 Camaro SS today, thought you guys might like to see the results.
The bottom graph is what my L99 camaro ss dyno'd stock. The next one up has the following mods: -New Era cam package that still uses VVT, and gets rid of AFM -New Era OTR intake -American Racing 1 7/8 headers with cats, stock mufflers -New Era ported throttle body -160 thermostat -Ported intake manifold -Precision 3600 rpm torque converter The next one up has the following: -Stock heads milled .025 -Valve job -Stock heads hand ported by Darin Morgan And then the last one: -Re-port matched the intake manifold to the new ported heads ![]() This package is available by install only, if you are interested, please pm me, or email sales@neweraperformanceparts.com for pricing and availability. If you have an LS3, these mods will make about 60 more rwhp, this is the common difference in power we see here on our dyno between the LS3 and L99. the reason i ask is i've been watching some other L99 packages with the same work. so i'm trying to see who's using the smallest cam and keeping the same power. the smallest cam i've seen it 228-234 and it made 458 434.

One thing to remember about his dyno #'s is th TC will show a lower HP # than the stock TC. I had a precision TC 3200 on a 4th gen and it dyno'd lower with the new converter vs the stock. The difference is at the track which with that 1 mod I gained .4-.5 consistantly.

Nice numbers! Did you run into any tuning issues with the Precision TCm will it lock-up under the same conditions as the stock converter?

what gear was it dynoed in and was the converter locked?

Price to port the throttle body is $75, this mod gained 6 rwhp on my L99. You can order the ported throttle body service off of our website, as well as many other go fast parts for your 2010 Camaro SS @ www.neweraperformanceparts.com.
