AY6 Upgrades?
Has anyone got any suggestions to a possible upgrade yet for the V6 AY6 tranny yet? Ive been hearing alot of concerning discussions on different threads and posts on the issue we seem to be having with this particular tranny. The TR6060 trans got a new pressure plate, throw out bearing and some other stuff but i've heard nothing for us AY6 guys? Performance shops, speed shops, help us out here!
 The reason i ask is i'm bringing my car in for a diagnostic this wednesday for a 1st to 2nd gear grinding issue during spirited and casual acceleration. With only 3000 miles on it and no upgrades and with it in Competition mode, or standard mode, makes no difference the problem is still there and getting worst by the mile! If the dealer can't fix it under warranty i'd like to just upgrade the entire system! |

Make sure they fix it under warranty before you do anything. There are some shops around that can upgrade the A6, not many with experience. Check around, there is another thread regarding this.

what thread is thatand yes i'm still going to the dealership i'm just planning ahead if things go well more wrong.

@toehead93, I think you might be referring to the V8 A6 tranny, the OP is talking about the AY6, the V6 6-speed manual...

Oh, yes I totally missed that. I have not really seen anything for that transmission.
