Keep us informed!

And while all of us here can certainly appreciate how excited you are, to properly evaluate the new trans give it a decent break in.

Good Luck!

Just got a call from GM. The gear key on mine was damaged. Parts are on order and should arrive within 7 days. They are estimating 2 days to put it back together.

I requested that while it's torn down to check the torque on the flywheel bolts if possible per TSB. All said and done it's looking like the repairs will have been a 4 week process here. I'm just glad that they found the issue.

Good luck rusty, have you tried calling powertrain cust service to get some help?

I've only HAD my car for a lil over 4 weeks.

No freaking way I'm gonna part with my car for that long.

I'll wait until it crunches the 1/2 shift every time before I leave it for that long ...

It should only take 2 weeks or less. Dealer told me to bring it in 2 weeks ago saying they could tear into it. Well 2 weeks later they finally opened it up and found out that 2nd gear had some play in it due to the 2nd gear keyway.

2.5 weeks here, they haven't even taken it apart. They think the clutch will fix everything, but I have a bad feeling the transmission is damaged as well.

PM sent. Get a hold of them and get them helping you deal with this. Parts take 7 days plus 2 days labor for most trans work once ordered. Your going to be well over a month if they dont locate the parts soon.

They give you an update on your clutch rusty? I had to pull up some pictures of my car over the weekend... was starting to forget what owning my Camaro was like.
