Yes...when you go to a muffler shop and ask them to do a muffler delete they should be supplying the pipe for the $100 - $150. They should also be cutting off your factory tips and re-welding them on for that price.

Don't buy the SLP part you're looking at. It doesn't include tips or anything. For that price you can have a muffler shop supply the pipe, weld it on, and re-weld on your tips.

I'll just forwarn you....don't let them cut the pipe with a torch like my first muffler guy did. I ended up paying for it a second time 4 days later to have them cut out with a sawsall and re-welded correctly. Now I'm very happy with the setup....just learn from my mistake and don't pay for it twice.

Personally I would suggest adding an X-pipe for sound and a little power but that's all in what your wallet will let you do. You can probably get an x-pipe and the muffler delete done for the $250-$275 range.

I just found a kid out of welding school working at his dads shop that was obsessed with my car.. and he did it cheap... i helped him make sure the tips were in line I took pics with my iphone so he knew exactly how much the should stick out etc.

Are muffler deletes illegal in CA?
Also, I hear SLP's Loudmouth axle-back is "basically a muffler delete". So are they false mufflers or real?
