Question scrming....If you had the choice between 87 ethanol-free or 91 with ethanol, which one would be better to put in your car? Thanks

i'm going to go out on a limb and say he will test both and use the one that pulls less timing...

The manual doesn't say the car requires 87 octane, it says "87 octane or higher."

Can we do the bare minimum? Sure. Is it the best choice? Probably not. For the Office Space fans out there:

Stan: "We need to talk about your flair."
Joanna: "Really? I-I have 15 pieces on. I also--"
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: "Well, 15 is the minimum, okay?"
Joanna: "Oh, okay."
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: "Now, you know, it's up to you whether or not you wanna just do the bare minimum or, uh-- Well, like Brian, for example, has 37 pieces of flair on today. And a terrific smile."

It's really hard to ignore him and his buddy MikeSS. One claims to be a 19-year-old in MI and the other sails yachts on the west coast. In reality, I think there both 13 and live across the street from each other.

Oh great King, please tell me how. Lately I've just gotten fed up with it. Don't think anything but prescription drugs will help me...

I have taken a personal vow to just ignore both of those guys. I talked to a few others in PM's and said just ignore them and maybe they will just go away. Unless they personally attack my comments in which case I might just send them a PM.

IGNORE THEM they are looking for the attention. Or another way to say it don't feed the TROLLS.

I run 92-93 and always try to rev up the engine to blow out the soot from the exhaust tips before I put her away.

Does revving work? The only thing I've found to do is use windex on them once a week.

I wipe the tips almost daily with a paper towel just to keep them looking good. Part of the daily routine now.

It's funny when people tell you that it's all in your head when they are so closed-minded they can't accept the evidence provided to them. It may be a waste on other cars... but this V6 runs better on the higher octane... get it into your head!
