Its normal, your cooling fans for the radiator are also turning off and on in the heat when you are stopped, so that might make it seem rougher. Trust me though, its not as rough as a Cobalts EcoTec engine when its over 100.

Tell me about it. I am very grateful that I have garage parking at work otherwise it would be brutal trying to cool off the car sitting in the hot sun all day. I am also happy I have auto-start so I can get the car cooling before I get to it.

I have the recall notice, although I need to make an appointment to have it done. I live in Washington State so AC is well not as useful. I used to live in Yuma, AZ when I was in the USMC. At that time I had a 1967 Camaro, NO AC that sucked.
My car does not vibrate when I am parked or stopped with AC on so far.

Anyone?

And to the OP, yes at idle with the a/c on if I raise the rpms a little (I have a manual trans) I can make it really run rough at about 800 to 1000 rpms so I'd assume that the automatic cars engines are trying to maintain engine rpms with the load from the auto trans and I can see yours doing this quite a bit. It shouldn't and maybe that is what the recall or whatever is all about. I'll keep looking for my letter in the mail.
If you would like I could check over your VIN to see if your vehicle is in fact involved in this program. Also if you don't feel the AC system is working properly you could always have it checked to make sure something isn't causing an issue in the system. If you need any help in doing this or getting setup with us (GM/Chevy) or your dealership, just let me know and I'll take care of it for you.
