I couldn't even imagine doing all those terrible things in my youth either. I have no idea why my tires on my 67 were always so bald...
That's funny ! The only reason I bought a stick was because of the gas mileage ! Lol !

We all have turned them off one time or another to see how it feels, the only difference is most of us take the time to get to know the car and it's limitations before we go playing with the controls, and are adult enough to know showing off in public is a bad thing and most of the time it turns out for the worst..

What's the purpose of turning it off? I don't drive reckless enough that the nannies engage...in fact it's very rare. I think it's just plain dumb to turn it off. If you crash your car due to stupidity...you get what you deserve...hopefully you don't hurt someone else in the accident. Save it for the track.

Thank you!! Insert a "word", or a "+1", or a "headbang", or a "clap" here....I couldn't pick.

I've wrestled with this concept since it seems like the beginning of this time. I don't get it.

You know what's even more fun than driving with TC/STab off? Driving drunk with TC/Stab off.

7k miles in 3 months of ownership. That's pretty high compared to others on here. That puts me near 30,000 miles a year at this pace. It's my daily driver, and for more than half the guys on this forum, their camaro ISN'T their daily driver.

That's the point I was trying to get across. That I drive my car A TON and haven't had issues keeping it under control.

You say you don't get it ? Let me help you understand. This debate applies to more than just TC. The concept works for a lot of other parts of most Americans life's . Try not forcing your your view of how to drive your car on another grown adult and telling them if they don't agree with your view their stupid. Regardless wether it's safer or not, it's realitive to their skills. What kills more people a year ? TC turned off or grown men having bad eating habits and die from a heart attack ? I think we all know the answer . So what kind of response do you think you would get on here if you were constantly preaching to grown men about how they shouldn't eat burgers everyday and they do their stupid ? About the same battle. People can make their own choices and don't need you or anybody else saying their choice stupid because it doesn't match your choice. It's just like politics, one side says take care of yourself and pay your own way and be responsable for your own choices and the other side says give the lazy or stupid free money and rent And hold their hand and say , don't worry ill take care of you so you don't have to learn to take care of yourself. In the end both sides will NEVER agree With the other. So if you want to say you only drive with nannies on because you like them and leave it at that , then I'll back your choice for you all day long ! But when you start saying me and other guys that don't use them are stupid or judgmental terms then your out of bounds.

gas prices and new EPA regulations certainly contributed, but excessive accident rates drove insurance up so high a lot of people were priced out of the cars. the whole appeal of the the muscle cars were that they were extremely powerful, very torque-y cars that the average working person could own. anybody with a decent job could go buy a GTO. cost of insurance drastically shrank the market of potential buyers. that, along with new EPA requirements simply made it unprofitable to build the cars.

makes more sense. I thought you were trying to brag about having a massive 7k miles of driving experience under your belt.

So, if you have a V6, you're less of a man, or broke.

If you don't drive a stick, you're less of a man and old.

And, if you choose to use T/C, you're less of a man, an old fart, a daisy and a bad driver?

I didn't even know what an "Fbodfather" was, so this isn't asskissing. But if the guy has been around them and working on them longer than most of us have been alive, I give his opinion a lot of respect.

And anyone that doesn't is showing their ignorance. No offense.
