Many tuners will allow you to return your vehicle to stock, but if you're doing this for warranty concerns, make sure whoever's tuner you use gives you a "stealth" tune. This means that the original...

They all do that stock. That's why so many suck it up and get a TCM tune. With the "stealth tunes" now available, people can get much better shifting without warranty concerns.

If you are running fuel with ethanol in it, you will get lower fuel economy. E10 will drop your mileage by 1-1.5mph. E15 will drop it around 2mpg. If your gas is 100% gasoline, then your speeds may...

I don't think it's a good idea to make the low octane table the same as the high octane table for a street driven car running pump gas. Smart tuners will modify the octane scaler so the ECM will not...

When you're going 25mph, you are above what the stock TCM will allow for a downshift to 1st gear. You only get a downshift to 2nd gear and it feels really lazy I'm sure. If you have your TCM tuned,...

EFI Live allows you to populate the 1,2,and 3 Bar VE tables in Open Loop and Closed Loop. Cold starts and open loop fueling is sooooo much more accurate when you have the VE tables activated and...

Thanks for doing that. This info is very helpful as other shops running these blowers have been less than forthcoming about the IAT question. I am encouraged by your logs about running this type of...

On the intake, you can run a 230-231 lobe at a 112 intake centerline (with lift around .600") and maintain .080" P to V clearance. For every degree you advance the ICL or every 2 degrees of...

I'd stay away from the multidisc converters. The added weight slows down 60' times and the quickest cars aren't locking their converters at WOT. A Yank SS 3200 and Circle D 3200 get zero complaints....

You can get a VVT cam with high lift, but you'll need to replace the DOD/AFM lifters. Going phaser-only is a solid plan for broader power under the curve. VVT is a real performance advantage if your...

If your TCM has been tuned, your tuner may have not altered the part throttle downshift tables. This is where you will see the downshifts to 1st gear up to 30mph.

It's not about psi, it's about cylinder pressure and added horsepower. If you've added 150rwhp over stock, you are most likely a candidate for a cooler plug and possibly a narrower gap.

Really jacks with the 3-4 shift at the track. Tried it both ways on a lot of different vehicles. You're better off keeping it unlocked for quickest ET and longest trans life.

I'm not sure if HP Tuners has the ability to do a "stealth tune" by keeping the stock CVNs after it's been tuned, but certain versions of EFI Live can. This is an important consideration if you're...

Locking the TC in 3rd makes for some funky 3-4 shifts plus it kills any torque multiplication from the converter in the lower part of 3rd. All the Camaros we've tuned went quicker with 3rd gear...

.25 is OK for the 1-2, but the 2-3 is a real mother. I don't think I'd go faster than .28 for the 2-3.
