OOLIE! Thanks for those vids man it sounds pretty sweet!

I'm guessing your idle vid above is without the ghost cam or is it with? (cuz it sounds a bit different than you video in the ghost cam thread to my ears, but still sounds great!)

Do you think there is any way you could get a crusing by video? Or actually what I'd love to see is a light to medium take off (from stop to around the 3,000 RPM range) so I could hear what this would sound like cruising around. You could take the video at the same location as your 2nd one above, the sound seems to come through well.

Sounds like is has a nice low tone with hardly any rasp. Not sure if the sound will change much over time, but maybe? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the sound, rasp, any extra drone over what you had and just generally what you think of your new setup.

Oh, and one last question about your magnaflow mufflers. Are they the magnaflow axle back, or a custom set of mufflers? (I can't remember exactly what they are)

Thanks. Yes that is without the ghost cam. I will do a couple more vids for you too. I only seemed to notice a hint of rasp when I spun the tires there. It really wakes up the cabin I will take those vids for you. I only have a few miles locally, but I had about a 70 mile drive on interstate back from Tracy's and this thing is really quiet traveling at 80 mph. If you touch the throtle at all that changes. I will get some vids so you can hear. Also custom Magnaflow. It is not the same one as yours if my memory serves me correct, but I will look it up.

All new additions will be near bottom of their appropriate section.
Seems like V6 exhaust is one of the big topics. Now I think most of us are realistic and know we will never have that killer V8 sound, but if done right, the v6 can be made to sound sporty, strong, or just plain mean depending on how its done.

I'm continuously putting together a compilation of V6 exhausts I've come across mostly on these forums. Most will be manufacturer setups. I don't plan on posting every single custom made exhaust I find, but I have posted several that sounded a bit unique, and had good information on the setup. Hope this helps some of you out there!

Axle-back and Cat-back kits (custom or kits) are the first section. Section two will feature cars with shorty headers installed, and section 3 will feature cars with Long Tube headers installed. The stock sound (for comparison purposes) can be found at the very bottom.

Another thing: If you can, definitely listen to these clips with either a good set of headphones, ear buds, or a good desktop PC system that can reproduce low bass. Helps a ton!

***SECTION 1 - AXLE-BACKS / CAT-BACKS ******************************
************************************************** *************
First up...the simple muffler delete:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2980022
Just a warning, several owners have tried a muffler delete, and while it is good on the SS, on the V6 it usually ends up being very loud and very raspy. Most don't like it. For some reason, The camaro in the above video didn't turn out so bad!...but its still very loud!

GMPP exhaust with sound and pics. Much Thanks to TeccBoxx and 67 GTO!

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=157
Another vid:

Borla Pro-X's. Now from what I understand, the GMPP exhausts are made by Borla, but the exhaust installed on this car is not the same model as the GM exhaust. According to Derin11, these are the Pro-X street mufflers. There are 4 or 5 vids spread throughout this thead.

Find the official Borla Camaro exhaust below in this thread.

Magnaflows. First post in the thread lists two part numbers. First thread listed has a link to a page with TWO sound files...take off and pass by for the cat-back exhaust.

MRT Exhaust Version1...aka scrming exhaust V1 This began as a custom job done by member scrming and MRT, but now MRT is selling these kits. No problem! I'm glad I could help!

If you like my setup..then great! But just want to warn you, if you want something loud, my setup is not it lol. Read over my entire thread throughout to get my impressions over time and my responses to questions people have asked me since I've installed them.

I've been tossing around the idea of either removing the stock resonators and seeing how that sounds (which I think it would be nice and not cause much more, if any more in-cabin drone. I've also tossed around the idea of just removing the resonated X that I added when I originally did this setup and seeing if the drone is really that much worse, because I think it would add the more aggresive tone I'm looking for. But if the drone was bad, I'd have to put the resonated X back on.

If you decide you want to use something like my setup, I always recommend trying just the mufflers/tips first, and if the drone is too bad, then installing the resonated X later.

As for gains in power...not really. Most exhausts seem to free up some power in the mid-range but in my case I can't say forsure. If it did, it wasn't enough to be really noticeable. Again, just give my personal exhaust thread a good look over.

Thanks again!

Thanks again! let us know how it works out. Realy loud pips is not what I was looking for but that good aggressive sound of my V8 silverado or close to it. And I was hoping it might get more power out of it too. Thanks again.
