I had my motor out and when looking at the cam bearing I didn’t liked what I saw , so decided to replace them .

Most don’t replace cam bearings when doing a cam . Although, I’m sure it’s possible...

I used a green scotchbrite and plastic razor...

I used a green scotchbrite and plastic razor blade with WD-40 to clean the carbon off and used denatured alcohol to wipe it down before installing the head gasket .
