Hooray for Camaro racing! Matt Bell piloting the #6 Chevrolet Sunoco Camaro broke the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge track (Mid-Ohio Road Course) record this past Friday, while earning his 6th career Grand Sport class pole position (and first of the season for the No. 6 Sunoco Camaro). Bell managed a time of 1:33.635 (86.313 mph avg) on the 2.253 mile, 13 turn track. Full DETAILS.
This marks the first pole for the 2010 Camaro which began competing in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports race series at the end of 2009.
