Chevy Camaro interest at all time high. Top viewed car on AutoTrader two months in a row.

The buzz surrounding the Chevy Camaro and the public’s interest in the car are higher than ever now that the car is hitting dealerships and the roads, as well as the big screen in Transformers 2. For the second month in a row the new Camaro sat atop the list (full list here) of most-viewed new vehicles on Autotrader.com, one of the most popular sites for new car buying research. This is quite a testament to the car’s general appeal considering GM is currently under marketing budget constraints while it undergoes restructuring and has very few Camaro ad spots on television. This level of interest is no doubt responsible for the Camaro outselling the Mustang in June.
The Camaro’s direct competitors, the Mustang and the Challenger, were 3rd and 12th on the list, respectively.
