Motortrend Magazine Reports New Camaro has approval for production

According to this article from the latest issue of Motortrend magazine, GM management has approved the production of the 5th generation Camaro, in convertible form. The article also states that the convertible will debut a few months after the coupe goes on sale in 2006! We read this to not only mean that the coupe also has approval for production, but that it will be debuting this year.
While we’re extremely excited by this rumor, we’re not sure what to make of it. Hopefully Motortrend has the inside scoop and is merely foretelling what we’ll all hear soon directly from GM.
