The Camaro has not beaten its arch rival Mustang in annual sales in 25 years. But that is set to change this year. Despite a cooling off of Camaro sales since earlier parts of this year, the 2010/2011 Camaro has shown tremendous sales this year, totaling 75,685 sold through November 2010, compared to Mustang’s 68,264 units sold. (Sales/Production stats as of November HERE).
What’s even more impressive is that the Camaro has outsold the Mustang year-to-date with only one variant (coupe version) and much fewer special edition models. The 2011 Camaro Convertible (and likely Camaro Z28) coming next year will only add to the Camaro’s overall potential sales.
Congrats to GM and our members for the 2010 sales bragging rights which look virtually guaranteed at this point. [Discussions HERE].
