We previously reported that GM Performance Parts would be offering the new Camaro “Body in White” bodies. Well, GMPP has just announced the availability of their Body in White (BIW) program at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Orlando, FL and that the bodies will start shipping to owners this week.
To recap, the BIW packages allow racers to purchase a bare 2010 Camaro full body assembly structure from which to build a racecar from. BIW bodies include assembled body, hood, front fendors and valance, grille header panel, roof, doors, rear quarters, trunk, rear valance, floorpans and chassis rails. The powertrain/drivetrain, suspension, fuel system, and interior components will all need to be installed in addition.
P.S., check out what’s in the background of the BIW bodies — a mountain of crate engines!! …. drool.
